used to be’s

i sat in the flourescent glow of the back room and ran my hands through my hair. 

i watched a small bug shuffle across the tile of the office floor and my eyes became locked on it.

i suddenly felt very big.

i got up and left the room, all the time making sure that i didn’t step on the bug.

5 more hours left.
