the floor falls away in a quiet tangle and it’s as if the bottom was made of nothing at all.

down i fall.

i always pretend i’m in a rush, if i walk alone downtown.

always on the way to something that is never there.   that way, if you see me, you’ll hopefully lose me in the crowd.   

never to be seen again.

i run away.
