here’s a few more from the final leg of our drive through saskatchewan and alberta

i have to say that it was amazing to see some of the things we did during this drive across canada, it’s just too bad we didn’t have enough time to stop and really enjoy some of the towns we passed through.
tomorrow i’ll try to get some pictures of grande praire after i drop off the u-haul.
goodnight
the myspace page i thought i deleted awhile ago seems to still be up and running.
wanna be my friend?

so it is official.
we are now in the town of grande praire and man is it crazy. it is in fact a small town, but there are so many people here, you would never know it. the trucks are always rushing by. the oil workers fill the motels day and night.
we arrived sunday evening to find the entire city out and about. we went to what was most likely the worst motel i have ever been in, and signed in for the night. the oil worker signing in before us was quick to tell the receptionist that we would be ordering a escort that evening and that if anyone complained, that would be why. thanks for the warning.
the room smelled like an ashtray and as luck would have it, we managed to get a room right next to the one guy in alberta who hasn’t been let in on the the wonders of cough medicine.
so down with the sleeping pills.
woke up early this morning and headed to the station. it is in the final stages of being completed and most likely won’t be operational until the end of the week. we are hoping to get in around friday to do some station imaging. i’ll bring my camera with me and let you have a peek. the station is 98.9, The Q. we will most likely be playing hit music and the staff seems really great. the equipment is state of the art and i’m really excitied to get in there and start working.
we also went apartment hunting. one word. impossible.
everything is taken and no one takes pets and there is no way we are parting with gage cat. so after making a tonne of phone calls, we have put in an application for a two bedroom deal in the residential area of gp. keep your fingers crossed for us. i know that we have had a lot of good luck recently, and i’m hoping it will hold out for just a bit longer.
we are in a decent motel now and will most likely be staying here until we find an apartment.
the pictures below are from the rest of our trip and are all pretty much from taken from the front seats of my jeep.
try and guess what provinces the pictures are taken (i have no clue myself)

there are many, many more pictures, but the hotel internet connection is awful and it’s taken me about 4 hours to upload these ones.
more to come.
